Cori, a 12-year-old from Toronto, enjoys spending time with her loved ones, engaging in arts and crafts, and creating TikTok videos. She looks up to her mother, who has been a constant source of support and inspiration for her. “My mom keeps me going every day, she is always beside me and there for me.”
Despite facing health challenges in her early years due to seizures and a brain lesion, Cori underwent successful double brain surgery and now uses a device to help manage her seizures. During her hospital stay, Chai Lifeline provided Cori and her family with emotional and practical support, as well as thoughtful gifts, which uplifted their spirits during a difficult time.
This past summer, Cori attended Camp Simcha Special, which had a significant positive impact on her mental health. The experience allowed her to connect with peers who understand her struggles and provided her with a worry-free environment where she could simply be herself.
