Esti is a thoughtful 13-year-old girl from Houston, Texas who has shown remarkable strength and resilience in the face of adversity. At the age of six, she was diagnosed with pediatric arthritis, and at eight, with chronic uveitis. However, with the support of Chai Lifeline, Esti and her family have received invaluable assistance in navigating these challenges.
For her Bat Mitzvah, Chai Lifeline helped arrange a special Bat Mitzvah ceremony on an army base where Esti’s father, an army chaplain, was working. Esti regards her father as her hero and is inspired by his perseverance and leadership. “My father is a born leader, and I’m proud to be his daughter,” she said.
Despite her health challenges, Esti remains upbeat and enthusiastic about life: “Never lose hope and keep on giving courage to others.”
