Tammy, 19, lives in San Jose, Costa Rica, and likes painting and doing makeup. When she isn't absorbed in her artistic pursuits you can find her flexing her athletic side by swimming and attending Pilates classes. Her role models are her sisters because of how positive they always are.
Tammy first met Chai Lifeline when she was being treated for cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital and her family needed Shabbos candles and kosher food for their stay. Tammy’s doctors eventually connected her to Chai Lifeline’s summer camp, Camp Simcha, which Tammy describes as “a fairytale come to life. Everyone there learns from each other, there is fun and respect. You need to see it with your own eyes to believe it.”
