Adam, 15, lives in Great Neck, NY. His favorite subject in school is math and he aspires to become an anesthesiologist one day. Adam’s hobbies include playing basketball, rooting for his hometown Knicks, and wrestling, which he says he took up "to get stronger and to help defeat cancer."
When Adam was diagnosed with cancer several years ago, Chai Lifeline volunteers came to visit him in the hospital while he was in treatment. Throughout his recovery, they brought care packages and games, and offered a supportive and listening ear. Adam loves taking part in Chai Lifeline's year-round parties and events and has attended Camp Simcha for the past five summers.
"The Chai Lifeline volunteers and Camp Simcha counselors truly care for you," said Adam. "They are happy to dance with you all the time -- through all the ups and downs. They are always there for you, no matter what."
