Rivky is 17 and lives in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood. A creative spirit, Rivky enjoys arts and crafts, pottery and painting on canvas. “I enjoy activities that allow me to use my hands and to create new art,” she says.
Born with cerebral palsy, which affects her voluntary movements and coordination, Rivky chooses "to view everything with a positive perspective. I don’t let it affect me and define who I am."
In 2010, Rivky was introduced to Chai Lifeline and immediately fell in love with her new "family." She has attended Camp Simcha Special for the past 10 summers and takes part in Chai Lifeline shabbatons and events throughout the year. Hoping to give back and inspire others, Rivky looks forward to running with Team Lifeline in the upcoming Miami Marathon.
