Meet Eli, a resilient 20-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, whose journey embodies strength and determination. Diagnosed with a brain and spinal tumor at the age of six, Eli has faced recurring seizures and endured the hardships of treatment-induced disabilities and medical complications since then. Despite his various struggles, Eli's spirit remains unbroken. His daily regimen includes numerous medications and frequent specialist visits to manage his medical needs.
Throughout this challenging journey, Chai Lifeline has been a steadfast source of support for Eli and his family. From hospital visits and nourishing meals to post-treatment events and holiday gifts and surprises, Chai Lifeline has stood by their side every step of the way. Both of Eli's siblings enjoy outings and spending time with their Chai Lifeline Big Sister and Big Brother. Eli also enjoys time with his Big Brother, going out to eat and exploring local activities together.
Eli's involvement in Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline's medically supervised overnight camp experience, has been a source of joy, eagerly anticipated each year to infuse his life with happiness and resilience. Through it all, Eli's unwavering courage and the unwavering support of Chai Lifeline have illuminated a path of hope and resilience.
