Tevel, a 17-year-old from Yokneam, a town in northern Israel, has been fighting brain cancer since the age of two. Over the years she has undergone numerous surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments. Despite her difficult circumstances, Tevel is determined to live life to the fullest.
Tevel's passion is acting, and she dreams of becoming a television and film star. But above all, she wants to give back to those who have supported her throughout her difficult journey.
For the past five years, Tevel has been attending Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline's medically supervised summer program for children and teens with cancer and other blood disorders. “What I love most about camp is how everyone helps each other and encourages one another to try things they would have never done before,” says Tevel.
