Your Hair Can Make the Difference Cancer treatments and medical conditions can leave children bald on the outside and feeling naked on the inside. The gift of a wig can help them meet the challenges of changing body by enhancing self-esteem and alleviating the feelings of "differentness" that can accompany illness and treatment. Chai Lifeline accepts contributions of children´s and adult´s hair for inclusion in wigs. Hair must be a minimum of 14" long to be useful. Hair should be cut dry and already clipped in a ponytail or braid. Place hair in a Ziploc bag and then into an outer envelope.
