Chai Lifeline mourns the tragic loss of Lori Gilbert Kaye Z”L, beloved sister of our very own West Coast Director, Randi Grossman. Lori was senselessly murdered in the April 27 terror attack at the Chabad of Poway synagogue while attending prayer services on Pesach/Shabbos morning. She is survived by her loving family; her husband Dr. Howard Kaye, her daughter Hannah, her father Dr. Richard Gilbert, her sisters Randi Grossman and Ellen Edwards, and her loving nieces and nephew.
Lori dedicated her life to helping others and was a proud supporter of many worthy causes, including her sister's important work at Chai Lifeline. Lori's last Facebook posts reflect her strong ties to the organization and deep connection with Chai Lifeline's mission of providing social, emotional and financial support to children living with life-threatening or lifelong illnesses and their families.
To honor her memory and in keeping with her legacy of caring for others, Lori's family has asked that donations be made to the Lori Gilbert-Kaye z"l Memorial Fund at Chai Lifeline.
